Five Quarters of the Orange by Joanne Harris
Our April Selection is by Joanne Harris who wrote Chocolat. A daughter returns to the french village of her childhood, an unforgettable tale of mothers and daughters, of the past and the present, of resisting and succumbing.
i am enjoying this book but what i really want to do is find out about a book for next month. i had a patron recommend a book - The Known World by edward jones. it is about a black slave owner. there are 5 or 6 copies in the system and if it is something we would be interested in i would go ahead and order it so it might be here by next book club day. what do you think?
I am a horsewoman. It means a lot more than just that I love my horse. It has to do with how I look at life. How I react to my surroundings. What I want from my life. How I treat others and how I would like to be treated in return.
